Elements of Competency Performance Criteria              
Element: Determine status of aeronautical products and eligibility of assessor
  • Establish status of aircraft components and component parts in accordance with maintenance documentation
  • Confirm assessor’s eligibility to certify maintenance activity completion
       
Element: Comply with airworthiness regulations in certifying aeronautical products for return to service
  • Release item of aeronautical product to service in accordance with authorised enterprise procedures
  • Raise and compile required maintenance documentation
  • Apply configuration management (CM) procedures in accordance with authorised enterprise procedures
  • Compile and process maintenance-related reports in accordance with authorised enterprise procedures
  • Perform both oral and written required technical communication activities in accordance with authorised enterprise procedures

Assessment Tasks

Write these in plain English and spell out how, when and where the task is to be carried out, under what conditions, and what resources are needed. Include guidelines about how well the candidate has to perform a task for it to be judged satisfactory.

When you have finished writing your assessment tool every one of these must have been addressed, preferably several times in a variety of contexts.
